On 6 July 2010 POLPX and the Ukrainian Power Exchange signed an agreement on cooperation of both Exchanges, covering inter alia on energy trading in Poland and Ukraine, as well as joint research and exchange of experience on the activities of the parties of the agreement.

The purpose of the agreement signed today is the creation of suitable conditions of  cooperation in the field of trade in electricity between our countries. This is also a further step towards further integration of energy systems in Poland and Ukraine - said Grzegorz Onichimowski  President of the Polish Power Exchange

Signatories to the agreement shall stipulate that future cooperation will take place mainly through:

• consultations and meetings of experts;
• exchanging experiences and experts;
• advice and other services provided; each
• organisation of seminars, symposia and conferences;
• organisation of training programmes;
• execution of joint research projects;
• Exchange of information, databases, computer applications, etc.
