Property Rights Market (PRM) for certificates issued under certificates of origin for energy coming from the renewable sources of energy (PMOZE and PMOZE_A) has been in operated since December 28, 2005. It is the base of the system supporting renewable sources of power generation in Poland. Since December 28, 2007 the CM has also established additional trading of two types of property rights (PMGM and PMEC), covering certificates issued under of origin for electrical power generated in high-efficiency co-generation (combined heat and power) units. Its mechanism was established based on validated solutions of systems supporting renewable energy sources. Participation in the PRM market allows electrical power generators from the Renewable Sources and Co-generation areas to sell their property rights with benefit, and allows the power companies obliged to acquire those rights to comply with their mandatory obligations.
