Financial Instruments Market

Launching the financial market on TGE is a natural step in the company's development and extending the product offer. The energy market, which is the base market for futures contracts, has reached a high liquidity, which allows TGE to offer the market participants also financial instruments. An increase in trading on TGE listings in the recent years places it on the position of one of the fastest-growing exchanges in Europe and the most dynamically developing exchange in CEE region. The total volume of trading in electricity was 186.7 TWh in 2015 with 161.8 TWh of energy production in Poland and 161.4 TWh of energy consumption.
