The Financial Instrument Market is a Regulated Market which ensures a constant system of trading on financial instruments run by Polish Power Exchange. It provides the investors with a universal and equal access to market data at the same time and equal conditions of purchasing and selling instruments. Organised and supervised by the relevant supervision authority. The subject of trading are financial instruments which base instrument is a commodity admitted to trading on the power exchange.

These are financial instruments understood as a futures contract program for TGe24 index for electricity prices defined on the TGE Day Ahead Market. A contract on FIM is defined as a contract concluded between the seller and the buyer for the right to futures, according to the terms stipulated in the Standard. In the agreement the parties define the value of the base instrument at which the contract will be executed through cash clearing. Only monthly contracts are executed, upon the day preceding the last calendar day for the relevant month. Other contracts are cascaded.
