On July 7, 2021, the Market Surveillance Department of Towarowa Giełda Energii S.A. organized a meeting aimed at cooperation between the MSD and Exchange Members in ensuring the integrity and transparency of exchange trading and strengthening confidence in the markets operated by TGE.
During the meeting, the purpose and scope of the surveillance of exchange trading were presented, including types of abuse on the exchange market, selected examples of manipulation practices as well as the rules of conduct of the TSO in the event of a major failure in the power supply system (clearing of the Balancing Market). Moreover, the assumptions to the Best Practices Code for preventing market abuse and maintaining the integrity and transparency of trading were discussed.
