The transaction data reporting platform operated by TGE is already 3 years old
• The transaction data reporting platform launched on 7 October 2015 is celebrating its anniversary.
• Towarowa Giełda Energii (TGE) was granted the RRM status as one of the first reporting entities in the European Union.
• The TGE’s RRM system offers market participants comprehensive support with respect to their obligations resulting from the REMIT Regulation.
• The TGE’s RRM platform currently has 1632 users.
‘Three years have passed since the implementation of TGE's RRM system and we can certainly say that it has been a success. The platform attracted a completely new group of customers and strengthened the position of TGE on the national and international arena. We have provided the market with a useful tool, a functional online application, thanks to which they can meet EU requirements. This is thanks to the team that takes care of the proper functioning of the system on a daily basis. On the occasion of this anniversary I would like to thank Jan Noworyta's team as well as all users of the system’ said Piotr Listwoń, Vice President of the TGE’s Management Board in charge of Operations.
Towarowa Giełda Energii (TGE) offered a transaction data reporting service as of 7 October 2015. The TGE’s RRM platform was then a response to the Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT), which requires that the participants of the wholesale electricity and gas market report transaction information with respect to their activity on organized trading platforms for these commodities. The reporting can only be done through entities that have been granted RRM (Registered Reporting Mechanism) status with ACER. TGE obtained this status on 12 August 2015, as one of the first reporting entities in the European Union.
The scope of the reporting was defined in the relevant implementing acts, and the format is consistent with ARIS (ACER REMIT Information System) which is the ACER's central IT system for the processing of REMIT-related data.
The experience and confidence gained from the system users allowed TGE to extend the scope of data reporting onto OTC transactions. The production launch of the extended version of the system took place on 7 April 2016.
In the years 2015-2018, the TGE RRM platform supported:
• the execution of over 20,614,800 operations related to exchange orders,
• reporting of over 10,116,290 exchange orders,
• reporting of over 7,657,569 exchange transactions,
• reporting of over 142,982 OTC transactions,
• distribution of over 147,594 exchange market reports,
• distribution of over 35,416 OTC market reports.
The TGE’s RRM system enables secure and effective reporting of transaction information, easy monitoring of the reporting process itself and access to notifications of significant reporting events, such as the acceptance of the report by ARIS.
