TGE’s Management Board appointed for a new term

  • On 6 May 2024, the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Towarowa Giełda Energii S.A. nominated Piotr Listwoń, the previous Vice-President for Operations, to the position of President of the Management Board for the next term.
  • By decision of the Supervisory Board of TGE, Jarosław Ziębiec will continue to serve Vice President of the Management Board for Business Development for another term.
  • At the same time, the Supervisory Board appointed Mariusz Buraczyński to the Management Board for the next term as Vice-President for Operations, pending the approval by the Financial Supervision Commission.
  • Appointment of the President and Members of the Management Board of TGE was preceded with a competition procedure.
  • The new term of office will commence on the day following the date of the General Meeting approving the Company’s financial statements for the financial year ended on 31 December 2023.
  • Piotr Zawistowski will continue to serve as President of the Management Board of TGE until the expiry of his current mandate, upon which further cooperation is planned in a different format. 

Piotr Listwoń

Piotr Listwoń has 16 years’ experience in managing trading and clearing operations on commodity forward markets, the financial instruments market as well as for international transactions carried out as part of the market coupling of the European electricity markets. He has been associated with the TGE Group since 2008, where he was initially involved in efforts aimed at launching the operations the Warsaw Commodity Clearing House (IRGiT) and led the implementation of an advanced payment system in IRGiT. In the years 2013–2018 he was Director of Clearing and Settlement Department and Director of International Cooperation Development in IRGiT. At that time, he also represented the Company at the general meetings of EACH (European Association of CCP Clearing Houses). 

Since April 2018, he has served as Vice-President of the Management Board of TGE, where he has been responsible for the operational activity of the Exchange and product development. He supervised, among other things, the launch of the European Intraday Market (XBID) 24/7/365, the launch of forwards trading on the OTF and the implementation of a comprehensive liquidity improvement project. Since April 2018, he has served as member of the Supervisory Board of the GPW Foundation, and since December 2020 as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of InfoEngine, a subsidiary of the TGE Group. In January 2021, he joined the Management Board of the Association of Power Exchanges (APEx).

In October 2023, in addition to the role of Vice-President of the Management Board of TGE, he was appointed Vice-President of the Management Board of IRGiT, taking on the responsibility for overseeing the operational activities of the TGE Group.

Piotr Listwoń graduated from the Faculty of Strategic Management of the Polish Open University (POU/Oxford Brookes University) where he also obtained an MBA degree.

Jarosław Ziębiec

For 25 years, he has been specialising in the design and implementation of development strategies for financial and commodity markets. Extensive professional experience including relations with national and foreign supervisory authorities. Good understanding of the processes and practical skills required to lead key initiatives in the operation of the organisation and managing large project teams.

From 1998 to 2010, associated with the Warsaw Stock Exchange, where, as Head of Derivatives, he was responsible for the launch, development and marketing of the financial derivatives market, as well as the creation of the structured products market and the introduction of the first ETF.

Between 2011 and 2013, worked at Bloomberg LP in London, where, as part of the Exchange Business Management Team, he was responsible for cooperation and relations with CEE exchanges.

He has been with the Polish Power Exchange (TGE) since March 2014. As a senior manager and Advisor to the Board, he was responsible for, among other things, the creation of the regulated market and the preparation of TGE for the implementation of MiFID II, including the licensing of the Organised Trading Facility (OTF). Since 2015, a member of the Europex Working Group on Financial Markets, Integrity & Transparency (WG FM). From 2016 to 2018, a member of the ESMA Commodity Derivatives Task Force Consultative Working Group. 

From July 2018 to October 2023, Jarosław Ziębiec has served as Head of the Strategy and Projects Office at TGE, where he was responsible for the creation and implementation of the company's strategy and the coordination of ongoing projects. 

In October 2023, he was appointed Vice-President of the Management Board for Business Development. He is also a member of the TGE’s Risk Management Committee.

Jarosław Ziębiec graduated from the Faculty of Transport Economics at the University of Gdańsk where he completed his studies in economics and organisation of foreign trade in 1993. 

Mariusz Buraczyński

He has more than 25 years of professional experience gained in the finance and energy sectors. For nearly 15 years, worked in senior managerial positions in organisations engaged in the trading of commodities admitted to trading organised by TGE.

Between 2000 and 2012, associated with TGE, from 2005 as Head of Finance. He was involved in numerous projects and implementations carried out within the TGE Group, such as clearing systems, gas market, clearing of new products, setting up the Energy Market Guarantee Fund and the Certificate of Origin Register.

From 2013 to 2014, worked in managerial roles in GPW Group companies, and from 2014 to 2019, in PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. as Head of the Risk Department, responsible for the entire process of corporate, market and financial risk management in the PGE Group.

In 2021, involved in the acquisition of Vortex Energy-Obrót sp. z o.o. by Columbus Energy S.A., where he subsequently served as CEO of Columbus Obrót sp. z o.o. until 2022. 

Mariusz Buraczyński is a graduate of the Faculty of Banking and Finance at the Warsaw School of Economics, MBA studies (Kozminski University) and Fiscal and Tax Law Studies at the University of Warsaw.
